A Poem: The Apostle Paul
Cold, calculating frost Hid your heart, As you searched for People of the Way. Traveling a single route, With single intent, To Damascus. No light of love, No gaze of grace, No thought of mercy. Only anger, Contempt, Hatred. Prison is not enough, For those who blaspheme, Who dare follow A charlatan carpenter. From nowhere, From everywhere; A voice; So terrifying, So sweet, Captivating your soul; A voice; The One despised, The One who could not be; The One was who is, And forever will be; The One who turned The world upside down; And you right side up.
A Prayer: Leaning Into This Day
Lord, let me lean into this day, By leaning into you, Into your very presence, Into your immense love, Into your forever grace, Into your total forgiveness, Into you indescribable power, Into you divine purpose. Lord, let me lean into this day, By leaning hard into you.
A Passage: For Reflection This Week
"And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." -- Ephesians 3:18-19 NLT
