A Poem: Fragments
Fragments of life, Lie in the shadows, In little pieces of reality. Before you, O Lord. All the hurts and joys Mingled together In laughter and tears. I cannot separate them, For they are connected By thoughts and memories; Days past, Days present. Even if I could, Sort out the good, Throw away the bad, It would be wrong; For all of life is sacred to you. So, take the fragments Of this puzzle called life; That I can’t quite fit together, That makes up each day, And make them into a reflection of You.
A Prayer: Bring Me Focus
Father, I feel overloaded today. Overloaded with information, Overloaded with expectations, Overloaded with anxiety. I feel disjointed, Going in five direction at once, Unfocused and unconnected. Help me focus on the one thing, The only thing, That can bring calm, Peace, Contentment; Help me focus on You!
A Passage of Scripture: For Reflection This Day
Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless; give me life in your ways.
-- Psalm 119:37 CSB
