Resurrection
The earth cried that day. Tears trickled from the eyes of stones; Mountains heaved and sobbed; Trees shuttered with grief. The earth cried that day, For her creator was no more. He that sprinkled the night with stars, He that made life-giving rain, He that out of nothing created everything; Was dead! The earth cried that day; As they took his lifeless body down And laid it in a borrowed tomb. But short was her grief. The tomb couldn't hold Him. The evil one couldn't destroy Him. Death couldn't conquer Him. He arose! Not dead! Not asleep! But alive! And because… And because… The tomb can't hold His believers; The evil one can't destroy His followers; Death can't conquer His children. The earth didn't cry the morning He arose. She gave a shout of joy. A shout that transcended time. A shout that can still be heard today. Listen! He is alive! He has risen! He has risen indeed!
A Resurrection Sunday Blessing
I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. — Ephesians 1:19-20 NLT
Thank you, Renae.
