A Poem: How Can I?

How can I comprehend
The incomprehensible?
How can I understand
The non-understandable?
How can I describe
The indescribable?
I cannot!
God, you are set apart,
You are holy!
God you are beyond,
You are holy!
Holy, holy, holy!

And yet…
You are near,
You are close,
You are personal.
You are Emmanuel,
God with us,
God near us,
God  for us.
So far away,
Yet, so close.
Beyond all comprehension!

A Prayer: Lord, You Are Beyond

Lord, you are beyond…
All understanding
All comprehension
All truth
All reality
All reason
Because they are all
Created and contained in you

Father, this day let me realize
How great you are
And in your greatness
You choose to watch over
And care for me.
