A Poem: In the Darkness

In our comings and goings,
Viewings and showings,
We stand in his presence.
Without reason or rights,
In our days and nights,
He moves near;
Seeing with Spirit breath,
Into the bottomless depth,
Of our fear and doubt;
Down the slippery slope
Of hurt and hope,
We fall into the dark;
Where faith hides,
But love abides,
Showing us where,
Grace abounds,
Mercy is found,
And peace is near;
He holds us tight,
In blackness of night,
Never letting go!

A Prayer: I Passionately Seek You

Lord, this day
Show me how to,
Passionately seek You,
Run hard after you,
Lean full into You,
Rely totally upon You,
That I might live today
As a sacrifice to you.

Help me today to...
Rejoice when You rejoice,
Grieve when You grieve,
Love as You love.

Help me this day to...
Live as You created me,
Made in Your image.
