A Poem: Living This Day

Lord, I will never relive this day.
I will never again see
This sunrise,
This sunset,
The clock showing
The hours of today.
Father, help me to live this day
Pleasing you;
Praising you,
Thanking you;
Help me see each moment
As opportunity,
To reach out my hand for you to hold,
To follow the path you unfold,
To listen to your voice,
To celebrate and rejoice,
That I am loved,
By you.

A Prayer: Entrusting To You This Day

Here I am, Abba, your Beloved.
By the Father - a humble servant,
By the Son - a follower of Jesus,
By the Spirit - a citizen of your kingdom.
I hereby entrust to you this day
My thoughts,
My word,
My actions,
To be lived in your power,
For your glory.
Amen.

O LORD, hear me as I pray; 
pay attention to my groaning.
