God's love is greater than any human love

A Poem: Love Locked

They hang there,
Day and night,
Night and day;
Rain and sun,
Sun and rain;
Through every season.
Through every year.
Padlocks!
Hanging on bridges,
Locked in time.
Each one tells a story;
Known only
To those who threw
Away the key;
Declaring their love.

He hung on a cross;
Only a few hours;
Declaring his love,
Forever.
A love…
Deep enough,
Wide enough,
Long enough,
High enough,
For all humanity,,
For all time,
For beyond time,
Locked for eternity.

A Prayer: Passionately Seeking You

Lord, this day
Show me how to,
Passionately seek You,
Run hard after you,
Lean full into You,
Rely totally upon You,
That I might  live today
As a sacrifice to you.

Help me today to...
Rejoice when You rejoice,
Grieve when You grieve,
Love as You love.

Help me this day to...
Live as You created me,
Made in Your image.
