Calm in the midst of chaos

A Poem: Calm Me, O Lord

Calm my spirit, O Lord.
Let it resonate with your Spirit
In oneness of unity.

Calm my heart, O Lord.
Let it beat as one
With yours.

Calm my mind, O Lord.
From worry, from doubt,
From thoughts displeasing to you.

Calm all of me, O Lord.
As you calmed the storm
For your first disciples.

A Prayer: For Peace in Chaos

Lord, you promised a different kind of peace.
Please give me your peace today.
Peace that is above, beyond, an through…
Wars and rumors of wars;
Political turmoil;
Injustice, pain, and suffering.
Peace in the midst of my momentary
Troubles and fears.
Father, let me sink deep into your presence,
Knowing that you are always with me
Calming every storm - if I let you.
Give me this day,
The peace that surpasses all understanding.
