Monday Missive #18
A Poem: In Between
We live in two worlds, Citizens of both; Torn between now And eternity; Balancing both. We live in the now, A world of space and time. We live the future, A new heaven, A new earth. In between, We wait… For the coming of Our Creator, Our King, Our Redeemer, Our Father; Abiding as royal children With eternal inheritance.
A Prayer: Centering Myself
Lord, I come into your presence Centering myself In who you are, In who I am. You are the Creator and Sustainer Of all there is or ever will be. You are my Lord. I am your servant, Trying to love you Through my obedience; Which is so sporadic And weak. I am your child, Made in your image, Called to reflect you. Father please forgive me When I fall short of Who and what you desire. Empower me to live As your obedient child. Amen.
A Passage: For reflection this week
I have given them your word. The world hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I am not praying that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. - John 17:14-15 CSB
