A Poem: Never Changing God

Morning moves into evening,
Night descends into dawn,
But God does not change.
My life is measured in years,
My body moves toward death,
But God does not change.
He is the same yesterday, today,
And tomorrow!
He is
Never ending,
Never changing,
Never failing.
God Almighty!

A Prayer: God Owes Us Nothing

Lord, you do not owe me anything,
But you have given me everything.
Blessing upon blessing,
Grace upon grace;
Poured out into my life,
Overflowing with your love. 
Lord, you do not owe me anything,
But you have given me everything.
You are always faithful,
Even when I am not;
Your love abounds
Even when mine fades.
Lord, you do not owe me anything,
But you have given me everything.
When I fall short of your glory
Created within me,
You always forgive,
Setting me free from my guilt.
Lord, you do not owe me anything,
But you have given me everything.
You replace doubt with assurance,
Turmoil with peace,
Lostness with direction,
Despair with hope. 
Lord, you do not owe me anything,
But I owe you everything.
