A Poem: Present Tense
In English class We learned about tenses ; Verb designations of Past, present, future. In life we live those tenses. Living in the now, But… We are always “is,” Before we “were. And, “are” before we “will be” But, we are still the same person. Or, are we? The tenses of time Change us as we move from now Toward then, Remembering when.
A Prayer: Nothing
Lord, thank you for this day, That I did not bring into being. Thank you for my life, That I did nothing to create. Thank you for my blessings, That I did nothing to deserve. Thank you for my salvation, That I did nothing to earn. May this day, My life, My blessings, My salvation Bring glory to you.
