A Poem: Sapphire and Soot
Sapphire and soot Sit suspended in time; Without meaning, Without value; In memories forgotten In unrealized realms; Of kingdoms past. Sapphire and soot Are worthless, Unless we say contrary. Value is what we impose. Our worth is inherent, Even when crushed, Even when degraded, Even when ignored. Worth is eternal, A living soul, Breathed by God, Living in time, Living beyond time, Into never ending Beauty and dignity.
A Prayer: Today, Let Me See
Abba Father, Today let me see your beauty In all you have created. Let me see your truth In all that is true. Lest me see your love In the hearts and hopes Of every person I meet, Created in your image, For your glory. Amen.
A Passage of Scripture: To Reflect Upon This Week
Then God said, "Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. ...So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
