Today is…
A new day,
A wonderful day,
A lovely day,
An exciting day,
An awesome day!
Today is…
A crazy day,
A lonely day,
A hurting day,
A frustrating day,
An awful day!
Today is…
What I make of it,
Where I focus,
What I think,
What I say to myself,
What I say to others.
Today is…
How I live it,
Over the circumstances,
Under his Majesty;
With gratitude and praise,
For this is the day
The Lord has made!

A Prayer: The Day You Have Made

Lord, this is the day you have made. 
Help me focus on you
Before I focus on my life, my world. 
Let me focus on your majesty and greatness;
Let me focus on your love and grace;
Before I focus on anything else. 
You have created this day;
I have done nothing to bring it about.
I can only respond to the newness it brings.
Let my response be one of praise and adoration.
Let my response by rejoicing and thanksgiving.
Let my response be awe and wonder,
For this is the day you have made.
