A poem.: Today is a Gift!

Today is a gift!
Never before lived;
Unlike all before
And all to come.
It was not promised,
But here it is;
Wrapped in a 24-hour ribbon,
Placed on my doorstep
By the Creator of Time.

Today is a gift!
To be used,
By the choices I make,
By the words I speak,
By the places I go;
In the world 
In my mind.
With wisdom
Or foolishness?
With thoughtfulnes,
Or negligence?
With love,
Or indifference?
With purpose,
Or aimlessness?
Today is a gift!

A Prayer:Today is Your Day, Lord!

Today is Your day, Lord!
It belongs to You!
Loaned to me to use for Your glory.
Let my heart resonate with Your heart,
Let my thoughts please You.
Let my actions exalt You.
Let me not waste this day,
But live it for Your glory!
