Two Roads Diverged…
We always have a choice!
A Poem: Two Roads
Frost wrote from reality, “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.”* There are always two roads! Beauty or ugliness; Generosity or scarcity; Safety or risk; Acceptance or rejection; And so the list goes on and on. Being bent we constantly choose The road of lesser being; The road most traveled; The road of… Hurt, hate, hostility; Rejection, rebellion, refusal. “Narrow is the road leading to life,” The Savior said. Finding it is not the end. There are still choices Along the way. The road less traveled Is always the best choice, For few live as He taught.
A Prayer: Focus
Father, this is the day you have made. Help me focus on you Let me focus on your majesty and greatness; Let me focus on your love and grace; Before I focus on anything else. You have created this day; I have done nothing to bring it about. I can only respond to the newness it brings. Let my response be one of praise and adoration. Let my response by rejoicing and thanksgiving. Let my response be awe and wonder, Let me be open to your shaping me Into the image of Jesus this day.
A Passage: For Reflection
"Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. [14] How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it. — Matthew 7:13-14 CSB
