Unravel Me
Monday Missive #91
A Poem: Unravel Me
Lord, Unravel me! Unravel My selfishness, My unkindness, My carelessness, Knit my life Into yours. Lord, Untangle me! Untangle My messes, My stresses, My excesses; Straighten my way Along your path. Lord, Unknot me! Untie My faults, My fears, My failures; Secure them in Your everlasting love. Lord, Unravel me, Untangle me, Unknot me. Weave my life Into a tapestry Of your image.
A Prayer: Your Presence
Father, This day allow me To hear your voice Above all the clutter. Unravel me from Things that don’t matter; Unknot me from Distracting worries; Untangle me from the The trap of busyness. Let me settle Into the joy of Your presence.
A Passage: For Reflection
When Jesus had finished praying, he shouted, "Lazarus, come out!" The man who had been dead came out. His hands and feet were wrapped with strips of burial cloth, and a cloth covered his face. Jesus then told the people, "Untie him and let him go."
