A Poem: You Can’t Have It All

You can’t have it all
Because God’s all
Is never-ending;
He gives beyond full,
To overflowing,
With room for more.
Why? 
How?
His is infinite!
Always one more,
After the one more.
Always never ending,
Never stopping.
God always gives more!
More of himself in love;
Beyond understanding,
Beyond comprehension,
Beyond imagination!
You can’t have it all,
But you can have more,
Of God himself.
That is always enough!

A Prayer: God’s Immense Love

I praise you, O Great Three in One!
Father, who sent forth the Son. 
Jesus who died on the tree.
Spirit who reveals truth.
I cannot comprehend your love for me.
I know it, yet I cannot fully know it.
I experience it, yet not completely.
I feel it, but only as a shadow.
Oh, Lover of My Soul,
Show me the depth, the breadth, the height
Of your immense love for me,
That I may praise you even more.

A Passage: For Reflection This Week

I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God's love, and to know Christ's love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
